About how long does it take to build?
It depends on the size of the home and specific other details, but the average project for us is 90-120 days from the time we break ground to the time the time you move in.

Are there typically very many change orders or "surprise costs" in the process?
Our previous customers would be the best ones to answer this question. However, from our standpoint, we work extremely hard to understand as many details as possible up front, so that we can avoid changes once the project has begun. It is typical for us to go through the project with little to no change orders. If there are change orders they are almost exclusively driven by a homeowner choosing a different product or process after the time of contract signing.

What areas do you build in?
We typically like to stay within about a 75 mile radius of our home base, which is in Cloquet, MN.

Do you do small additions or remodel jobs? As a general rule, No.

Do you do any light commercial work?
Yes, we have good experience and versatility in that area as well.

Do you do the work with your own employees or with all subcontractors?
We do a significant portion of the work with our own employees. We find that this allows us to keep a tighter and more efficient schedule. We do also have a number of reliable and trustworthy subcontractors who service us very well.

Do you build year round? Yes

Do you build turn key?, and what does that mean?
Yes, and what that means is; We have the people and programs in place to take you completely through the design/drafting, land acquisition, permitting, and building process. From your initial thought and ideas of what you might like, to handing you the keys to a cleaned home with landscaping, sidewalks and driveways. Throughout the process you deal with one entity-us. We handle all the coordination with the different members of the building team.
